Click on thumbnail to view full-size Gwen Stefani might need had platinum blonde hair ever since 1995’s Only a Girl spearheaded Little doubt’s recognition, but her darkish eyes, eyebrows, and Italian surname point to a different natural hair color altogether: dark brown.
Yup, Gwen Stefani is definitely a brunette. I know, you are shocked. As was I!
Within the video for her 2005 single, Cool, Gwen sported locks with a hue much closer to those she was born with–properly, at the very least in those 18 clip in hair extensions flashback scenes. In truth, the video shows her fortunately spending time along with her beau, her curly dark tresses cascading onto her shoulders, while in later scenes, it suggests her boyfriend traded her in for another brunette when she started bleaching her hair. Come on, Gwen! (Gwen remains to be married to British rocker, Gavin Rossdale, so I am assuming her prefers her as a blonde.)
Ironically, in her video, she’s in all probability carrying a wig. She does look more classically lovely, and, for my part, fairly a bit youthful, too.
A video shot in early 1991 (under), before she attained stardom, shows her with natural, darkish-brown hair, and she’s a real magnificence. Possibly not someone who lives on pirate ships with a coterie of Harajuku women, but nonetheless quite pretty.
Possibly someone might be ready to explain why several Italian-American chanteuses – Madonna and Lady Gaga come immediately to thoughts, however let’s not neglect Diana DeGarmo, Ani DiFranco, Cyndi Lauper, and Justine Mattera – really feel the necessity to spruce up their appearance with a heavy dose of peroxide. Perhaps Italian males simply prefer blondes (Truly, I have been to Italy several instances, and I might say that appears to be usually true)
Gwen mentioned that she’s had blonde hair since 1994, and she even pays homage to her hair color alternative in her 2001 track Platinum Blonde Life. Take a look at these lyrics: “I want a platinum blonde life, so I keep bleaching out the colors.” That, you do, Gwen.
At any charge, because the rule for aging superstar ladies is to lighten their hair, not darken it, these photos is perhaps the last time you’ll be able to see Ms Stefani-Rossdale with the hair colour God gave her. Enjoy!

Is Gwen prettier as a brunette or a bottle blonde
Blonde! It may not be pure, but it surely suits her better.
Brunette! She wants to put down the peroxide and return to her roots.
Neither! She should go all Katy Perry and dye her hair brilliant blue.

I’m part Italian too and find that blonde hair minamlizes my olive green pores and skin tone so I like going blonde. IT has nothing to do with guys’ and their preferences. Sometimes individuals simply do what makes them pleased. Similar to curling their hair or straightening it and so deep on. Additionally my hair is medium brown so that you’d assume going darker could be flattering but it surely ages me about 10 years. I believe the images of Gwen with darker hair are pretty with blonde she seems gorgeous. Plenty of pretend blondes simply look washed out though.

She appears to be like like me with the brown hair, I even have that very same purple polka dot dress I used to wear for good luck. I never needed to bleach my hair to get the guys. She seems years younger with the brown hair, less makeup. Its time for gwen to go back to her roots, the blonde hair at her age now makes her look too brassy)
Maddie: Sure, I guess she’s caught with it now. I learn that Lady Gaga needed to bleach her hair because her producers thought dark hair would make her look too very similar to Amy Winehouse.

In the 90’s, it was fashionable. At this level, it’s a matter of private branding.

I feel she seems to be great as a brunette! Seems a lot healthier for her hair, too. Oh properly. I assume it’s true that gentlemen desire blondes..
